Prowlers of the Everglades is a 1953 American short documentary film directed by James Algar. The film was produced by Walt Disney as part of the True-Life Adventures series of nature documentaries.


In the depths of Florida, the Everglades seem timeless. A creature, the alligator, it terrorizes, in fact, historically, many species: birds, turtles, otters and fish. In fact, nothing seems to really combat this fierce predator. But this is not counting on the wisdom of Mother Nature has placed in his path, thieves eggs and other small eaters, such as "frail" raccoon, who are responsible for regulating the species.
