Purge Troopers are a specialized unit of Stormtroopers who appear in the Star Wars franchise. They are utilized by the Inquisitors of the Galactic Alliance as special forces assigned to huntin down the remaining Jedi Knights.
Purge Troopers are at the disposal of the Imperial Inquisitors, often accompanying them in pursuit of Jedi Knights. The early detachments of Purge Troopers were made up of a batch of clones from the last production line and were therefore young human males. They served as a death squad for the Inquisitors. Some clone Pruge Troopers were assigned security detail roles under the designation of Clone guards. Later Purge Trooper deployments were instead made up of stormtroopers, who were recruited or conscripted into the Imperial Military to replace their cloned predecessors. Purge Troopers borrow tactics and techniques from the clone troopers that accompanied Jedi Generals during the Clone Wars. Serving in the purge trooper division, they are an elite group that are small in numbers and avoid public attention.
