The Queen of Hearts, real name Valentina Corazón Contessa Cariño Reina of Hearts, is a character who appears in the Disney Jr. animated series Alice's Wonderland Bakery. She is the Queen of Wonderland and the mother of Princess Rosa.
Background[]
Personality[]
The Queen of Hearts is described to be dramatic, stubborn, and fiery, but unlike her predecessor and original film counterpart, she does not have an explosive temper or have her subjects beheaded every time they displease her. However, just like her predecessor, she makes loud and demanding royal commands. She also has a caring and loving relationship, especially with her father and daughter.
Physical appearance[]
The Queen has a slim figure, tanned skin, large black hair with red streaks, and dark brown eyes. She dresses in a black-and-red gown dress with a lot of heart patterns and gold lining. Her puffy skirt only reaches down to her ankles. Underneath, she wears black-and-red leggings that are exposed from the front and black showed with huge hearts on the front. Her jewelry includes heart shaped earrings, bracelets, and a ring on her third right finger. Her golden crown features heart shaped rubies.
Trivia[]
- Queen of Hearts' voice actress, Eden Espinosa previously worked on Tangled: The Series as Cassandra and Elena of Avalor as Orizaba.
- When the Queen eats potatoes, she acts like a horse.
- She's very particular about her food.
- In "Too Many Teas", the Queen's real name is given as Valentina Corazón by the Silver Queen, who quickly corrects herself, implying that she is not too fond of her real name. In "The Curious Case of Crumbs", she gives her full title as "Queen Valentina Corazón Contessa Cariño Reina of Hearts, first and only of my name, ruler of Wonderland and mother of Rosa".
- Incidentally, Valentina is the feminine Spanish form of Valentine, and corazón is Spanish for heart. Cariño is a Spanish term of endearment (dear, honey, etc.) while Reina means queen or ruler.
- Like her predecessor, the Queen uses a green Flamingo to play croquet.
