Ahmir Khalib Thompson, better known as Questlove (sometimes spelled ?uestlove) is an American musician, songwriter, disc jockey, actor, author, music journalist, producer, and film director. Ahmir helped co-found The Roots, along with Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter and Malik B. During this time, he became experimental with his music and developed Soulquarians; intended to be a music collective of rotating artists. He continued to produce music, until he and The Roots became the inhouse band for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Besides music, he has also delved into acting, usually playing himself, in television shows, such as Yo Gabba Gabba!, iCarly, The Cleveland Show, The Eric Andre Show, Empire, and Parks and Recreation, the latter of which he portrayed a character.

For Disney, he voiced Curley Baker in Disney/Pixar's Soul (2020) and himself in Rise Up, Sing Out, of which he was an executive producer on. He also directed and produced Summer of Soul, was the music producer to High Fidelity and voiced himself in Lucas Bros. Moving Co. He was originally to direct the live-action remake of The Aristocats, before the project got cancelled.
