The Quick Tunnels are a series of underground tunnels that appear in the Adventures of the Gummi Bears.
Background[]
Built by the ancient Gummies, the Quick Tunnels serve as the main traveling routes for the Gummi Bears leading from Gummi Glen to just about any place in the forest; even to Dunwyn Castle, Drekmore Castle, and to the faraway city of Ursalia. The tunnels to South Gumton though, have not been kept in good shape over the centuries, and have since deteriorated close to the former colony's exit.
Riding hawk-shaped Quick Cars, the Gummi Bears can travel through the tunnels at incredible speeds and reach a destination multiple times as fast as it would take walking or riding a horse. Cavin is shown many times in the series to be afraid of riding the Quick Cars, often screaming while speeding through the tunnels. Princess Calla on the other hand enjoys the ride with all its speed and turns.
Eagle-shaped Long Range Quick Cars are used for more passengers or extra storage room. Both types are able to automatically spread their small wings a bit for very brief distances.
The "open-air" Quick Tunnels of cities like Ursalia or Gummadoon, employ swan-shaped Quick Cars with a greater wingspan, that are able to glide in the air for extended distances.
