REWE is a supermarket chain in Germany and the main brand of Rewe Group headquartered in Cologne. With about 3,300 stores, Rewe is the second largest food retailer in Germany behind Edeka. Over the years, REWE had some Disney-related collection campaigns. These include collectible stickers, Star Wars trading cards, kitchenware, Donald Duck comic books, and Wikkeez, little figures of famous Disney characters.

Sticker albums[]

In the Christmas seasons 2012 and 2013, REWE and Disney produced two sticker albums featuring stickers depicting scenes and characters of popular Disney films and series as well as short plot descriptions, short stories or descriptions of Christmas traditions from around the world. The 2012 edition also featured washable tattoos and iron-on patches.

In 2016, REWE released another Disney sticker album in collaboration with Was ist Was? (the German edition of How and Why Wonder Books) that gives information about the animals depicted in Disney productions. Some stickers could also be scanned with a special app that featured more information, sounds and animations of the animals.

In November 2023, another sticker album was released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the company. It features information for the most important films and characters in Disney's history, as well as some trivia. It was also possible to send Christmas cards depicting characters like Elsa, Sulley and Tramp to friends and family. The online website also featured a Disney quiz and Christmas recipes based on the films in the sticker album.

Wikkeez[]

Parallel to the 2013 sticker album, REWE released the Wikkeez, collectible figures of popular Disney characters with a height of three centimeters that were given away from a purchase value of 15 euros on. All Wikkeez were given away with stickers of the figures.

Trading cards[]

Shortly before the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the end of 2015, REWE and Disney produced a trading card album in style of REWE's football world cup albums. The in total 36 trading cards mainly displayed and gave information about characters, ships and planets seen in the original trilogy and the prequels, although six cards also displayed characters of the new film (but without giving further information). Next to the cards, the album also featured a poster, a game using the cards and short descriptions of the six Star Wars films, the saga's main characters, as well as the fractions Galactic Empire, Sith, Rebel Alliance, and Jedi Order.

LTB REWE Sammel-Edition[]

The Lustiges Taschenbuch REWE Sammel-Edition was a special advertising series of Donald Duck comics published in November 2017 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Lustiges Taschenbuch (shortly LTB, German Donald Duck comics). Six issues were published, which were available in REWE discounters for a purchase value of € 30.00 or more or at a unit price of € 3.99. Like with every LTB, the combined spines of the comic books form a picture, in this case a picture of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy laughing over the gags in the comics. Also, the colors of the comic books make up the six colored stripes of the pride flag.

Kitchenware[]

In February/March 2019, REWE Dortmund cooperated with Disney and the housewares manufacturers Alfi, Zwilling and Vivo to start a collection campaign with Disney-themed kitchenware. A similar collection campaign with the manufacturer Silit was started in May 2021 in all REWE discounters. Unlike the other collection campaigns, the products were not for free but only reduced in price when compared to similar products.

From June 26, 2023 till July 1, 2023, it was possible to buy four glasses depicting the characters Dumbo, Bambi, Patch and Simba for € 7.99 each. A collection campaign with Disney-themed kitchenware was also started in November 2023 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Disney.
