Randy is a minor character in Disney's 2009 animated feature film The Princess and the Frog.
He can be seen on a poster in the Critter Co-Op store at Frontierland in Magic Kingdom, for the upcoming attraction, Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

The Princess and the Frog[]
His first appearance is when Ray is asking Randy if he's ready to go to the Bayou Zydeco, and tells Ray that he is ready, and he begins to play music on "Gonna Take You There" where he and numerous firefly relatives help Tiana and Naveen to get to Mama Odie.
Later in the film, when Ray is killed by Dr. Facilier, Tiana, Naveen and Louis take Ray's dead body to the bayou where a funeral is held with his family. The firefly family cheers when they see that Ray has joined Evangeline among the stars.

Randy the Firefly can only be seen in the "Dig a Little Deeper" sequence, where he can be seen dancing just before guests go up into Mama Odie's Lair.
Critter Co-Op[]
A poster of Randy can be seen outside the store saying "Firefly Family sing-along starring: Cousin Randy, just follow the bouncing butt!".

- Interestingly, the aforementioned character is named after Randy Newman, who composed the score and songs for the film, who also voiced him.
