The Randy Stevenot No. 3. is an old circus train used by the Muppets for their world tour in the 2014 film, Muppets Most Wanted. Beauregard serves as engineer for the group's trip across Europe.
Trivia[]
- The engine on the train is actually 'Captain Baxter', an 0-4-0 tank engine, a British type steam engine from the Bluebell Railway in Sussex. Prior to Muppets Most Wanted its most famous appearance was in the children's book Stepney the "Bluebell" Engine, part of the Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends/Railway Series. The engine was modified with with cowcatchers, a fake whistle, lamp, 'balloon stack' chimney cowl, etc. and weathered heavily. It hauled a Southern 25T brake van and a Mk1 coach for the film. The modifications were all removed at the conclusion of filming, and the engine was returned to its original condition.
