Raphael Adolini is a supporting character in the 2022 Hulu movie Prey. He is a French Italian trapper who partially aids Naru in her fight against the Feral Predator.

Personality[]
Raphael Adolini is a survivalist and trapper who only seems to care about remaining alive and, possibly, have a viable living. He is a very meek and timid man and is implied to not be very well liked by his fellow voyageurs. Understandably, he is very cowardly, but not completely useless as he has picked up enough skills to remain alive, at least against earthly dangers. He was willing to help the young Comanche warrior Naru against the Feral Predator and gifted her his pistol, though this ultimately lead to his own demise.

Raphael is a survivalist. While he is not the most actively capable person, he knows enough of nature to stay alive as long as possible. His main weapon is a 1715 flintlock pistol inscribed with his name. This pistol would later land in the hands of WWII pilot John J. Torres and 90s police lieutenant Mike Harrigan.
Trivia[]
- Raphael Adolini is based on a character appearing in the comic Predator: 1718. In this version, he is an Italian pirate who is faced with mutiny by his own crew before being aided by a Predator dubbed "Greyback". Upon his death, Raphael gifts Greyback his pistol and is given a proper burial by the alien.
- It is implied that Raphael had previously encountered "a" Predator, though it is not known if it is the same one featured in the film.
