Cassian's desperation to avoid arrest leads him to a mysterious man with unknown connections.
Plot[]
Rael arrives on Ferrix, where he is informed by Bix as to Cassian's arrest warrant. Rael remains undeterred, and expresses particular interest in meeting Cassian in person. Karn and Mosk also arrive on Ferrix, accompanied by twelve additional security officers. They raid Maarva's home and question her as to Cassian's location, but she refuses to cooperate. However, Karn intercepts a transmission from Cassian to B2EMO, allowing the security officers to pinpoint Cassian's position. The townsfolk, having witnessed the raid, go into lockdown, ringing bells across the city to signal other workers to follow suit and intimidate the officers. Cassian and Rael meet in an abandoned factory. Despite Cassian's desire to quickly sell the Starpath Unit and leave Ferrix, Rael tries to persuade him to join the Rebel Alliance, citing Cassian's repeated success at stealing from and sabotaging Imperial ships. However, the factory is surrounded by security officers before Cassian can consider Rael's offer. The two successfully escape back to Maarva's house, where they corner Karn and assess the situation. Meanwhile, Timm inadvertently reveals to Bix that he was the one that informed on Cassian, causing her to rush to aid him, only to be stopped by officers. Timm attempts to protect Bix, only to be killed by a trigger-happy officer. The officer is sent back to the shuttle to await punishment, unaware that it has been sabotaged by Brasso. Rael creates a diversion to distract the officers as he and Cassian escape, also rigging it to explode and kill some of the officers. Rael and Cassian successfully flee the planet, leaving a stranded Karn and Mosk behind.
In a flashback, Maarva and her husband, Clem (revealed to be scavengers), discover Kassa on the crashed ship. Against Clem's wishes, Maarva sedates Kassa and brings him with them, fearing repercussions from the Republic should they find him at the crash site.
