"Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People" is a song from the 2013 Disney animated feature film, Frozen, sung by Kristoff, who uses his voice to provide lines for his reindeer, Sven. Its outtake version, "Reindeers Remix", is featured in the Frozen Deluxe album and is explained by the Lopez couple, the songwriters, to be a joke that should have been placed in the end credits of the movie. The song talks about how Kristoff distrusts people.
A continuation of the song is included in the film Frozen II. In this version of the song, Kristoff has a sort of fantasy in which Sven sings his own lines. The continuation immediately segues into the ballad "Lost in the Woods."
Lyrics
Kristoff:
Reindeers are better than people
Sven, don't you think that's true?
Kristoff (as Sven):
Yeah, people will beat you
And curse you and cheat you
Every one of them's bad except you
Kristoff:
Oh, thanks buddy
But people smell better than reindeers
Sven, don't you think I'm right?
Kristoff (as Sven):
That's once again true
For all except you
Kristoff: You got me, let's call it a night
Kristoff (as Sven): Goodnight
Kristoff: Don't let the frostbite bite
Kristoff:
sighs heavily
Reindeers are better than people
Sven, why is love so hard?
Sven:
You feel what you feel
And those feelings are real
Come on, Kristoff, let down your guard.
Trivia
