1996-2002 | Disney on Ice: Toy Story | This version of Rex is all green as his belly isn't lighter, unlike the animated version. He has a long neck and thin arms. |

2001-2012 | Disney on Ice: Toy Story 2 and Let's Celebrate. | Similar to the previous version but his tail is a little longer and pointier, and his belly is light green. |

2008-2016 | Toy Story: The Musical | Rex shrinks a bit as his neck is shortened and his head and body increase in size. He also has wheels on his heels for the performer to move about easily. |

2010-2020 | Disney on Ice: Toy Story 3, Let's Celebrate, Worlds of Fantasy, Worlds of Enchantment, Follow Your Heart, Celebrate Memories and Mickey's Search Party. | This Rex costume is inflatable and slightly darker than the previous versions. His eyebrow is thicker and his nostrils don't have holes at all.
The performer inside can operate his mouth as in Disney on Ice's Mickey's Search Party (similar to how the first two versions of Barney from the first six Barney and the Backyard Gang videos were operated; only Rex can open his upper jaw). |
