Ricardo Gonzalo Pedro Montalbán y Merino was a Mexican-American film and television actor, who, for Disney, appeared as Roman Castillo in the 1961 Zorro special "Auld Acquaintance", voiced Vartkes in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and was the original voice of Señor Senior, Senior in Kim Possible.

Montalbán was born in Mexico City, but moved to Los Angeles and then New York City before appearing in several films in Mexico before making his American film debut in MGM's 1947 musical drama Fiesta. His career continued with features, such as On an Island with You, The Kissing Bandit, Neptune's Daughter, Border Incident, Battleground, Two Weeks with Love, The Mark of the Renegade, Sayonara, Madame X, The Singing Nun, Sweet Charity, and The Train Robbers. His career received a boost in later years with career-defining roles, such as Khan Noonien Singh in Star Trek and the theatrical film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Armando in Planet of the Apes franchise, Mr. Roarke in the television series Fantasy Island, and Grandfather Valentin in the Spy Kids franchise.

His other television credits included guest spots on shows, such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Bonanza, The Virginian, The Wild Wild West, Dr. Kildare, I Spy, Mission: Impossible, Gunsmoke, Here's Lucy, Hawaii Five-O, Wonder Woman, Columbo, Executive Suite, The Colbys, Dynasty, Murder, She Wrote, The Golden Palace, Freakazoid!, and Dora the Explorer. He would win an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Satangkai in the TV miniseries remake of How the West Was Won. He also appeared in stage productions of Her Cardboard Love, Seventh Heaven, Jamaica, The King and I, and Don Juan in Hell.

His seven decades in the industry earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a Screen Actor's Guild Lifetime Achievement award. His died in January of 2009 from congestive heart failure.
