Richard Bakalyan was an American character actor, who appeared in various Disney productions throughout the 1970s. He well-known roles were Chillie Walsh in The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, Cookie from the film's sequels, and Dinky from The Fox and the Hound.

Born in Watertown, Massachusetts; Bakalyan was in and out of trouble much of younger years. Despite his crimes, he enlisted in the U.S. Ar Force during Korean War and was honorably discharged with the rank of staff sergeant. His acting career saw him casted as thugs, outlaws, or lawman in films, such as The Delinquents, The Bonnie Parker Story, The Cool and the Crazy, Robin and the 7 Hoods, None but the Brave, Pressure Point, Chinatown, Follow That Dream, The St. Valentine's Day Massacre, and a cameo in The Greatest Story Ever Told as the good thief on the cross at Jesus' crucifixion. His television credits included Combat, Peter Gunn, The Untouchables, Wagon Train, Batman, Love, American Style, Kojak, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family, The Bobby Darin Show, The Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, Vegas, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Matlock, Charlie's Angels, Emergency!, Baywatch Nights, and My Name Is Earl.

Bakalyan died on February 27, 2015, at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, in Elmira, New York, aged 84.
