Richard E. Grant is a Swazi-English actor, screenwriter, and director. He came to public attention in 1987 for playing Withnail in the film Withnail and I and achieved recognition as John Seward in the 1992 film, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Dr. Zander Rice in the 2017 superhero film, Logan, and Jack Hock in the 2018 critically acclaimed biographical film, Can You Ever Forgive Me?, for which he received a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He also played Izembaro in the sixth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones and the Great Intelligence in the seventh series of Doctor Who.

For Disney, he played Cort Romney in Ready to Wear (aka Pret-a-Porter), Major Farquhar Chevening in St. Ives, and Shiver in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. He will play General Pryde in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
