John Richard Erdman was an American character actor. He has had a long history appearing in films and television, but gained recognition later in life for portraying Leonard Rodriguez in the NBC comedy Community, one of his last roles.
For Disney, he played Sergeant Jasper in The Swamp Fox, Walt Dabbett in Rascal, and voiced Mayor Rufus B. Pinfeathers and King Arty in DuckTales and Mr. Narrator in Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree Animated Storybook. He also appeared in the ABC series Dr. Ken as himself, and appeared in the 20th Century Fox films Tora! Tora! Tora! as Col. Edward F. French and The Pagemaster as a pirate. Additionally, he played Mr. Zeider in the 1977 The Amazing Spider-Man series.
