Richard Kendall Gibbs is an American film composer, producer, conductor, and musician. He began his career in the early 80's as the keyboardist for the band Oingo Boingo. He later moved from performing music to composing music for films. Over the years, Gibbs has composed over sixty films, such as Ladybugs, Dr. Doolittle, Big Momma's House, I Spy, Like Mike, Fat Albert, The Honeymooners, and Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.
Gibbs' Disney compositions include First Kid, That Darn Cat, and 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure. He also wrote the score for Touchstone films, such as The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag and 10 Things I Hate About You as well as Miramax films, including My Baby's Daddy and Hollywood Pictures films such as Son in Law. He even composed the score for Disney Channel Original Movies such as Let It Shine and Adventures in Babysitting. Additionally, he composed ABC TV films, such as Teen Spirit.
