Ripcord McQuack is the father of Launchpad McQuack. He, his wife, and daughter make up a team of stunt-pilots called the Flying McQuacks. It appears they make their living traveling to different air shows, performing stunts. He makes his first appearance in DuckTales when the The Flying McQuacks are coming to Duckburg for an air show, where Launchpad is flying an experimental jet. He was voiced by Robert Ridgely.

Ripcord appears in the DuckTales episode "Top Duck". He and the rest of the McQuack family save Scrooge McDuck's money bin, from the Beagle Boys. He later attended Scrooge's wedding in the season one finale "Till Nephews Do Us Part".

Darkwing Duck

Ripcord makes a cameo appearance in the Darkwing Duck episode "U.F.Foe", during Launchpad's flashback.
