Rita Delores Alverio, known professionally as Rita Moreno is a Puerto Rican-born American singer, dancer, and actress. She is best known for her roles in musical films, such as the 1956's The King and I and 1961's West Side Story, winning the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for. She also voiced Aunt Mimi in Blue Sky's Rio 2.
Her Disney roles include Chulita in the Zorro episodes "Adios, El Cuchillo" and "El Bandido", Renee Corliss in The Golden Girls episode "Empty Nests", Queen Camila in Elena of Avalor, additional voices in Raw Toonage and Bonkers, and Abuela in the Special Agent Oso episodes "For Tamales with Love" and "PiƱata Royale".
She also appeared as herself on The Muppet Show in episode 105, The Muppets Go Hollywood, Best Ever Muppet Moments and the 1988 TV special Walt Disney World 4th of July Spectacular.
