Roger Dean Miller was an American country musician. He was known for his playful, whimsical, often nonsensical songs, which helped him become a successful country artist of the '60s. Several popular 60s country songs, such as "King of the Road", "Chug-a-Lug", "You Can't Roller Skate With a Buffalo Herd", and "England Swings", were made by Miller.

For Disney, he wrote most of the songs from the 1973 Disney animated feature film Robin Hood, including "Oo-De-Lally", "Whistle Stop", and "Not in Nottingham". He was the voice of the rooster character Alan-A-Dale, the narrator who sings "Oo-De-Lally" at the beginning of the film. The song "Oo-De-Lally" was inspired by his hit 1965 song "England Swings". He also narrated The Wonderful World of Disney episodes "Deacon, the High Noon Dog" and "Go West, Young Dog".

His chart-topping 1964 song "Dang Me" appeared in the 21st episode of The Muppet Show.

In the 1980s, Miller's 1965 song "King of the Road" was made into a music video on DTV, a series of MTV-style music videos on The Disney Channel that sets footage of classic Disney animation to various pop and rock songs of the 1950s and '60s. The video for "King of the Road" contains footage of the following: Mickey's Trailer, Trombone Trouble, Thru the Mirror, Fantasia (the "Pastoral Symphony" sequence), Man's Best Friend, No Smoking, Father's Day Off, Wide Open Spaces, Get Rich Quick, The Brave Engineer, How to Have an Accident at Work, Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom, The Wise Little Hen, Canine Casanova, and Donald in Mathmagic Land.
