"Romeo Must Wed" is the twenty-first episode of The Proud Family.

Synopsis[]

Penny has a crush on Kwok, who is arranged to be married to another girl because of the traditions of where his parents are from in China. Meanwhile, Penny and Kwok are playing the title roles in the school production of Romeo and Juliet. Meanwhile, Trudy's big sister Diana a famous actress is visiting from New York.

  • Moral: Don't let your feelings influence you to make decisions that will result in you potentially letting people down.
  • When Penny is first given the Juliet dress, it is blue, yet when she wears it later in the episode, it is pink.
  • The episode's title is a parody of the 2000 action/romance film, Romeo Must Die, starring Jet Li and Aaliyah, the latter who died the following year of 2001.
  • Michael's hair is black, but in all the other episodes his hair is brown.
  • In the scene where Kwok is with Annlee, her sleeves go from long, to short, to long, and to short again.
