The Sailboat is a boat constructed by Father Robinson and his eldest sons, Fritz and Ernst, in Swiss Family Robinson. It was made out of a sail from their former ship and trees from the island they were shipwrecked on.

Fritz and Ernst constructed this boat with the help of Father; made out of a sail from their former ship and trees, and used it to sail across the island they were shipwrecked on so as to find a ship that might possibly help their family to take them to the new colony of New Guinea as their original point of destination from the beginning. The next day, when they spotted the same pirate ship that led them to being shipwrecked in the first place, Fritz and Ernst lowered the sail down to avoid being seen by the pirates, but as they got somewhat behind the rocks and closer to shore, the boat was destroyed by the strong tides and waves, thus, forcing them to continue on foot on land after that.
