Savage Rock is a rock formation, with its name labeled in a sign standing outside of it. Right next to the cave is an arrow sign labeled "Savage Lion" and a sign labeled "Savage Cave" is seen at the top of the door.
Inside the cave is a red bed over a blue rug. Behind the bed is a bookshelf with a collection of books, next to the bed is a mirror over a drawer, and next to the drawer is a lamp on a table and a picture of either a lion cub (possibly the savage lion as a young child) or a lioness (possibly his former mate). On the other side of the bed, there is another lamp, only bigger than the one on the table, and another picture.
After Timon puts out an alarm clock and the lion wakes up, it reveals that the cave also has a shower.
When Timon and Pumbaa try to join the Teds' club in order to retrieve their perfect napping spot, the ground squirrels repeatedly send the two to Savage Rock as a task, when they are really hoping that the lion will eat them both.
On the first task, Timon and Pumbaa have to put jingly bells on the lion's neck. When they get to Savage Rock, they are about to put the jingly bells around the lion's neck, but he wakes up and quickly grabs the two. Timon tells him that they're Santa's helper elves and that they showed up to give him the jingly bells as a present. The lion is convinced and puts them on and says that he will never take them off. When Timon and Pumbaa return to the Teds to tell them that they succeeded their task (much to the ground squirrels' surprise and dismay), the Teds send the two back to Savage Rock to remove the jingly bells, telling them that they need proof that it was on the lion.
After Timon and Pumbaa retrieve the jingly bells, the Teds make up a second task, which is to make Timon and Pumbaa have to put a suit on the lion. After they manage to do so, the lion realizes what's going on attacks the two. Timon and Pumbaa then bring the lion to the Teds to make him realize that they were the ones who kept sending them to his home.
