"Saving Lumaro" is the second segment of the forty-fourth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on November 12, 2016 alongside "Back in the Groove", and is the second segment of the fourteenth episode in the second season.

Plot[]

In the kitchen, Miles, Leo, and M.E.R.C. release rocket cookies. They are hard catch, since they have to be chased to be eaten. Leo says that this is a treat and an exercise all at once, and that when something's hard to do, you'll feel great when it's finally finished.

On Planet Alarbus, Gadfly steals what he explains to his goons as Tomorrowland's magnificent new laser drill. He plans to head to Lumaro and use it to dig up all the staridium they can find under the surface of the planet. Gadfly explains that staridium is the most valuable metal in the universe. Lumaro is full of the stuff if Gadfly can dig deep enough. If Gadfly has staridium, he and his goons can get all the tech they need. Gadfly thinks that stealing from things is so tiring. He is ready to be an honest, upstanding citizen of the cosmos, even if he has to steal staridium to do it.

In the Tethoscape, Captain Joe's sidekick, Kappa-Nine, informs him of the stolen laser drill. Joe says that those inventions have tracking devices. Joe notices that Gadfly stole the drill, and tracks where he is headed.

The rocket cookie chasing then continues on the Stellosphere's bridge, also including Phoebe and Loretta, when Stella informs the Callistos about an urgent call from Captain Joe of the SpaceGuard. Joe informs the Callistos about Gadfly stealing a laser drill which isn't working right, and if he continues to use it, it could cause lots of damage. Joe is calling the Callistos because Gadfly plans to drill for staridium on a strange planet, and there's only one person he knows who's been there, that being Miles. Loretta says that it is Planet Lumaro, and Miles tells everyone that that is where the GameMaster lives, as well as the planet's features. Despite its challenges, the Callistos figured out how to get around pretty well. This is why Joe needs Miles to lead everyone. Leo is also tasked to stop the laser drill before Gadfly turns it on. Phoebe and Loretta decide to come along because their Naxos skills will come in handy for the planet's features. The Callistos then accept the mission. Joe and Kappa-Nine will meet the Callistos on Lumaro as soon as they get there.

Since communication devices don't work on Lumaro, Miles has a plan to get to Lumaro quickly; the go-back button. Miles tells the Callistos about how he got it and how it opens up a portal to her planet. Miles says that this is the only inner-planetary doorway he has. The Callistos then head into the portal.

Gadfly and his goons then reach Lumaro, and decide to stop at a certain point to make sure their ship doesn't lose its power. The goons then get tripped by floating crystals. Gadfly then activates the drill, but it causes many rocks to fly loose, two of which deactivate the goons. The drill then causes a crack in the ground with lava underneath, and also causing Gadfly to be stuck on a floating rock.

The Callistos then arrive at Lumaro, with Leo stating that that is a different way to travel, and meet The GameMaster, with Loretta, Leo, and Phoebe meeting her for the first time. They are fans of The GameMaster's games. Loretta loves how The GameMaster gets inspired by the strange terrain of Lumaro. Miles says that the Callistos are here because Lumaro is in trouble. Phoebe mentions that Gadfly has come here to drill for staridium. Leo says that he stole a laser drill which isn't working properly and could cause some major damage. The GameMaster thanks the Callistos for coming, and eventually locates where Gadfly is due to the shade of purple. Leo notices that Gadfly turned the drill on. The GameMaster says that there is no staridium under that surface of the planet, but an ocean of hot magma. If Gadfly drills too deep, the magma could become dangerous. The GameMaster then opens up a portal that leads to where Gadfly is. She tells Miles about the dangers of this planet, but also mentions how he is an excellent gamer. Miles says that he learned everything he knows from watching them. The GameMaster then wishes the Callistos luck.

The Callistos then head through the portal, with Leo stating that he's still not used to it. Miles notices the cracks in the ground, seeing that the laser drill was responsible for making them. The Callistos then head up a cliff using their various skills. When Leo says that it's pretty hard, Miles says that when something's hard to do, you'll feel great when it's finally finished.

The Callistos are on top of the cliff when they hear Gadfly's screams. Gadfly does not like the planet's features when he meets "Muchi" and his family, the "Cholesterols", but they are Miles and the Callistos, respectively. Leo says that the Callistos are here to stop the laser drill before the place gets flooded with lava. The drill then activates, causing the Callistos to end up on floating rocks. After they jump onto different rocks, Miles and Loretta decide to stop the drill with freeze rays. Miles then uses Leo's Quantumatic to power it off. Leo says that the cracks will close up soon enough.

Miles then activates the go-back button. While Gadfly is leaving, he is told by Leo that the SpaceGuard is on their way to pick him up. The Callistos and Gadfly then head through the portal, with Leo stating that he's never going to get used to that. The GameMaster thanks the Callistos for saving Lumaro, and knows that they know Joe and Kappa-Nine. Joe mentions that this is not an easy planet to get to, as he and Kappa-Nine had to parachute in. Gadfly tries to sneak away, but Joe places him in handcuffs, and activates the portal that leads to the prison planet, Strickthorpe. Gadfly says that he'll take over prison over Lumaro any day. Joe thanks The GameMaster for her help and the Callistos for how well they did, as they made the SpaceGuard proud. Joe, Gadfly, and Kappa-Nine then go through the portal.

Although it wasn't easy, the Callistos made The GameMaster proud. Miles hopes that the next time they come to Lumaro, hopefully they won't be trying to catch a purple guy with a laser drill, and Loretta says that they can see her new games. The Callistos then go through the portal back to Miles' room, with Leo stating that that will just always be weird. Miles says that they can follow up on an adventure like that with a good-old fashioned rocket cookie chase. The Callistos then chase the rocket cookies.
