"Saving Major Green!" is the first segment of the fifty-ninth episode of Mickey Mouse Funhouse. It premiered on April 12, 2024 alongside "Minnie Safari" and is the second segment of the fifth episode of the third season.
The episode begins with Crystal Clearwater visiting the gang, explaining that today is Arbor Day, a day dedicated to celebrating trees. She asks the gang to assist her and Squash in planting saplings, or young trees, to help grow Funhouse Forest. The gang agrees, and while planting trees, Crystal says she is going to pay a visit to Major Green, the Funhouse Forest's oldest tree. Mickey and Funny offer to go with her.
Crystal, Funny, and Mickey find Major Green, a 2-millenia old giant sequoia. However, they find that Major Green's bark is falling off and that the tree is dry. The trio trace the problem to a log jam over at the Rowdy River, blocking the water from reaching Major Green. Funny persuades a beaver to help get rid of the logs, and the water quickly flows to Major Green, restoring its leaves and its health. The trio thanks Major Green for helping to cleanse the air and water before returning to the gang.
Meanwhile, Donald is having trouble planting his pine sampling. The areas he picks either have an incorrect amount of sunlight or the ground is in an insufficient condition. After multiple failed attempts, Goofy convinces Donald to bite the bullet and ask Squash for help. Squash helps Donald plant his sapling in a perfect spot, and it is healed. Crystal, Mickey, and Funny return, and the gang decides to return to the Funhouse by taking a shortcut Funny shows them. Soon, the gang returns and are glad to have celebrated Arbor Day. The episode ends with Funny producing a souvenir and Mickey and Minnie waving goodbye to the viewers.
