Scorpion (real name Macdonald Gargan) is a supervillain who appears in the Marvel Comics animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, set in an alternate universe during Peter Parker's early days as Spider-Man. He serves as the main antagonist for the first season of the series.
Scorpion was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
Role in the series[]
Scorpion is a major villain in the series, especially in the episode "Scorpion Rising", where an inexperienced Spider-Man battles him at the 110 hideout. Scorpion attacks the building, where Lonnie Lincoln is present with the gang and Scorpion kills one of the members. Lonnie takes Pearl to safety as the gang members leave, so Spider-Man can fight him. However, Scorpion's tale impales Peter in the back, leaving him for dead, until Norman Osborn rescues him in time and has his private medical team tend to Parker's wounds.
The Scorpion returns in "Hero or Menace", where he and his team fight the 110, which includes Lonnie Lincoln. Seeing his group members being attacked and Scorpion fighting Spider-Man, Lonnie gains powers through waste and helps Spider-Man defeat Scorpion. Out of rage from the previous attack that nearly ended his life, Spider-Man almost kills Scorpion before being stopped by Lonnie. Scorpion is then seemingly arrested as he lies on the ground, defeated.

- While Mac Gargan's appearance in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is clearly based on how he looked in Spider-Man: Homecoming, his appearance is based on the injuries he sustained after battling Spider-Man on the ferry.
