"Sea Change" is the second segment of the seventy-third episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on May 14, 2018 alongside "Aggro's Jam", and is the second segment of the nineteenth episode in the third season.
Plot[]
Aggro can't believe he has to tow some wrecked Nemesystems thunderships into a star to burn them up. This is because he wrecked them. A nemetron tells him that they'll reach the Dethalian star in thirty minutes. Aggro says that that is close enough. He believes that moving at the speed the thunderships are going, they will drift the rest of the way on their own and burn up in the star. Although warned by the nemetron that the thunderships could get pulled into a nearby planet's gravity instead, Aggro releases the thunderships before changing course, as he is late for his piloting lessons. The thunderships, of course, get pulled into that planet's gravity and crash into its water. A Lodo watches this.
In the Zenith, Zeno informs Miles and M.E.R.C. about a call from Admirals Watson and Crick. With Mission Force One all present and accounted for, the Admirals tell them that ocean probes on a distant waterworld have sent back some bad news: its ocean has gotten very hot, and the Admirals have no idea why. Now, the planet's ice cap is melting, adding more water to the ocean, causing the islands to flood. The Admirals task Mission Force One to get the Lodos, which are adorable little creatures that live on the islands, to safety. Miles accepts the mission, and the team suits up for it.
Once Mission Force One makes it to the Lodos' waterworld, they see that there is almost nothing left of the north pole. That means the islands are almost flooded. They then head to the island where the Lodos are. Miles decides for Mission Force One to split up to rescue the Lodos and take them to the largest island. Miles sees one large island, which Mirandos likes. Loretta says that Lodos naturally curious and love to hug things. She tells the team to give them something to grab onto.
Mission Force One does so to rescue the Lodos before gathering them all onto the same island. They then see the steam and bubbles from the water. Mirandos says that it would take something really hot to make the ocean react like that. Loretta assumes that whatever's down there might be what's heating up the water.
Mission Force One decides to investigate it by taking their space jets there. They then see Nemesystems thunderships, whose engines are the reason for the hot ocean. The team uses their space jets' shutdown beams to turn off the engines before making it back to the Lodos' island.
However, Loretta finds out through her Bracelex that since the ocean absorbed so much heat, it will take years for it to cool back down. Then, the ice cap will keep melting and water levels will keep rising until the islands are flooded. It's happening fast. Mirandos suggests using a sea wall to hold back the water in order to make the island the Lodos are on safe. Miles decides to use the thunderships to make a wall, and Mission Force One accept the idea.
Eventually the team puts all of the thunderships side by side to make the wall, making the island safe. Just as Miles says that that is mission accomplished, a thunderstorm appears. Loretta has never seen anything like it, as her readings are off the chart. As a storm this powerful might destroy the sea wall, Miles tells Loretta to call Dr. Z, as she knows everything about weather.
Dr. Z is delighted to see Mission Force One. Miles tells her about the waterworld's current climate flooding its islands. Dr. Z states that due to the warmer water, the waterworld's current storm is going to be huge and likely dangerous. Until the ocean cools back down, storms like this are going to keep happening. This is because warm water holds loads of energy, which is the most important ingredient for making big storms, and the sea wall will not stand a chance. Mission Force One understands it. Before the call ends, Dr. Z tells the team that weather waits for no one, and they need to get ahead of it while they can.
With the rain starting, Miles decides for Mission Force One to evacuate the Lodos to the Zenith. Miles tells M.E.R.C. to bring down the Zenith. However, it is too windy to use the ship's multipod. The Lodos then scatter, and Miles tells Mission Force One to get into their space jets and fly the Lodos to the ship.
The team gathers all of the Lodos. It ends with Miles exiting his space jet to rescue a Lodo that fell off the top of a cliff. Miles and the Lodo he rescued watch the island flood, and Miles tells the Lodo that Mission Force One will take the Lodos somewhere safe. With the Lodos all gathered in the hangar, Miles congratulates Mission Force One for the rescue, and tells M.E.R.C. to take the team out of the waterworld so they can find the Lodos a new home.
They make it to the Lodos' new home, which is perfect for them. Dr. Z and Loretta studies its climate, and they found that the Lodos will be safe there for generations to come. In case Nemesystems tries to spoil their home, Mission Force One will prevent it, as protecting the universe includes protecting the Lodos. Miles says that that mission is truly accomplished.

Trivia[]
- This episode was nominated for an Environmental Media Award.[1]
- This is the final episode to feature new planets and new species.
- This episode marks the third and final appearance of Dr. Z after "Blackout on Bloppsburgh" and "Chasing the Stormchaser".
- This is the only time Haruna and Mirandos see Dr. Z, as well as the second time for Blodger after "Blackout on Bloppsburgh".
- The title card comes from behind the ocean, and is at an angle. This is the third time that the title card is at an angle rather than being straight, following "Face-Off" and "The Great Gadfly".
- This is the third time Aggro appears without Commander Nemex, following "Friend or FoeBot" and "Aggro's Jam".
- Of those episodes, this is the only time Nemex is not mentioned.
