Sean Patrick Duke, known professionally as Sean Astin, is an American actor, voice actor, director, and producer who is best known for his roles as Samwise Gamgee in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, Mikey Walsh in The Goonies, the titular character in Rudy, Doug in 50 First Dates, Twoflower in Terry Pratchett's The Color of Magic, Jim Kent in the first season of The Strain, and Bob Newby in the second season of Stranger Things. He also voiced Raphael in the 2012 series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Chester in Bunnicula, and Kodi in Balto III: Wings of Change.

For Disney, he voiced Hercules in Kingdom Hearts (replacing Tate Donovan), the titular character in the Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior original series Special Agent Oso, and Blaze in Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero. He also played Dave Morgan in Encino Man. He is now starring in the new Netflix sitcom No Good Nick alongside Melissa Joan Hart.

He is the adopted son of John Astin and son of Patty Duke
