"Seas the Day" is the first segment of the twelfth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hailey's On It!
Synopsis[]
Hailey brings Scott to Catalina Island to get him out of an uncharacteristically mopey funk.
Plot[]
Scott is saddened over Kristine breaking up with him and has become despondent. While Hailey is still nervous about admitting her feelings to him, Beta insists that she use this opportunity to go ahead and complete the item of kissing Scott off her list. Hailey instead tries to ease Scott somewhat until she sees a commercial for Catalina Island and views it as the perfect opportunity to get Scott out of his funk, while Beta thinks that this would be the best time for Hailey to tell Scott the truth and kiss him after seeing that one of Catalina Island's attractions is a fancy seaside restaurant. Hailey finally agrees to completing the item on her list.
On the way to the island, Scott is still mopey while Hailey does everything she can to liven him up. Instead, every attraction is met with an excited Hailey and a saddened Scott. Eventually, the two try out an inflatable banana that sends Scott flying up onto a zipline wire. Using her quick thinking, Hailey uses a cotton candy making machine to make a lot of cotton candy to catch Scott from falling. This works and he suddenly becomes happy and excitable again, coming to the conclusion that life is too short to be sad and that he should live life to the fullest. With this in mind, Hailey finally takes Scott to the seaside restaurant.
The dinner date goes well with Beta having made a cake that will reveal Hailey's intent. During the dinner, Hailey gets a call from Kristine and she answers it in private. Kristine reveals that while she is sad over her and Scott breaking up (though she is still gleefully happy), she wants to know if he is okay. Hailey asks how she feels about someone else liking Scott and Kristine becomes outraged, demanding that Hailey prevent whoever the other girl is from going out with Scott. This results in Hailey stopping the cake from being delivered and getting her and Scott banned from the restaurant. Despite this, Scott has regained his enthusiasm and thanks Hailey for the day, though now she is feeling sad.

Trivia[]
- Scott is hurt that Kristine broke up with him in the previous episode, but gets over her and moves on.
- Kristine is revealed to still have some attachment to Scott, despite breaking up with him.
