Season of the Force

Season of the Force is a Star Wars-themed annual event held at Disneyland, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, Walt Disney Studios Park, and Shanghai Disneyland.

The inaugural event, which began on November 16, 2015 at Disneyland, features seasonal attraction overlays and entertainment offerings, as well as the opening of Star Wars Launch Bay. The event began at Disney's Hollywood Studios on December 4, 2015. Tokyo Disneyland's event started from February 16 to September 7, 2016. Hong Kong Disneyland started the event on June 11, 2016 under the name Star Wars: Tomorrowland Takeover, as part of its 10th anniversary celebration. Walt Disney Studios Park's event ran from January to March 2017. Shanghai Disneyland's event ran from June 2016 to June 2019.

On March 20, 2024, it was announced that the California version of Star Wars: Season of the Force.

Offerings

Major offerings of Season of the Force include:

• Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple - An updated version of the Jedi Training Academy show at Disneyland, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland, featuring new characters and a new villain from the Star Wars Rebels television series.
• Hyperspace Mountain - Space Mountain at Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland feature a seasonal overlay placing riders in the middle of an X-wing starfighter battle. This is Space Mountain's second annual seasonal overlay.
• Star Wars Launch Bay - This attraction replaced Innoventions at Disneyland and The Magic of Disney Animation at Hollywood Studios, features meet-and-greets with Star Wars characters including C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Kylo Ren.
• Star Tours: The Adventures Continue - A new scene is added to the attraction, tying into The Force Awakens at Disneyland, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
• Star Wars: Path of the Jedi - An abridged, 10-minute retelling of the Star Wars saga, leading up to The Force Awakens at Disneyland, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Shanghai Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
• Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away - A live show at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Walt Disney Studios Park that brings iconic Star Wars moments to life.
• Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular - A firework show at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Walt Disney Studios Park bursting with Star Wars music and magic.
• Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - This attraction replaced Big Thunder Ranch at Disneyland, Including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run.
• Star Wars: Command Post - This meet-and-greet attraction with Chewbacca and R2-D2 at Hong Kong Disneyland replaced Stitch Encounter and Walt Disney Studios Park.
