The inaugural event, which began on November 16, 2015 at Disneyland, features seasonal attraction overlays and entertainment offerings, as well as the opening of Star Wars Launch Bay. The event began at Disney's Hollywood Studios on December 4, 2015. Tokyo Disneyland's event started from February 16 to September 7, 2016. Hong Kong Disneyland started the event on June 11, 2016 under the name Star Wars: Tomorrowland Takeover, as part of its 10th anniversary celebration.[1] Walt Disney Studios Park's event ran from January to March 2017.[2] Shanghai Disneyland's event ran from June 2016 to June 2019.
On March 20, 2024, it was announced that the California version of Star Wars: Season of the Force.[3]

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue - A new scene is added to the attraction, tying into The Force Awakens at Disneyland, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
Star Wars: Path of the Jedi - An abridged, 10-minute retelling of the Star Wars saga, leading up to The Force Awakens at Disneyland, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Shanghai Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.
