Seasons of the Vine is an attraction which originally opened at Disney California Adventure. It was an opening day attraction along with the rest of California Adventure prior to its closure on March 30, 2008 prior to being shown in the former Making of Me theater at the now-closed Wonders of Life pavilion since the annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival event since 2009.
Seasons of the Vine was an opening day attraction at Disney California Adventure. The attraction was displayed in the Golden State area which was used to represent Napa County's wine industry to provide guests education about how Napa is known for its vineyards which play an important role at Napa. In California Adventure, the attraction's theater was located upon passing through the mural depicting a vineyard in it and inside was a theater decorated with wine barrels on the left side and on the stage are large massive doors which shows footage of how vineyards play an important part in California featuring narration by Jeremy Irons. The attraction permanently closed in California Adventure since 2008 due to declining attendance and was replaced by Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar.
Following the attraction's closure at California Adventure, it was later housed in the former Making of Me theater in the former Wonders of Life pavilion at Epcot during the annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival event and was used there since 2009.
Throughout the attraction, a narrator tells a story of how vineyards play an important role in California where it dates back to the 1700s where after the missions were built in California, vines have been planted by the Spaniards who settled there, followed by the Gold Rush of 1849 where Europeans arrived at California and brought wine grape varieties. Over the years, vineyards and wine played an important role in California as the industry continued to grow where people all over the world have a unique experience of Napa County's vineyards. The attraction also showed the info of what happens to the Californian vineyards over the seasons of winter, spring, summer, and fall and how vineyards face natural threats such as insects which prey on vines, rainstorms knocking the plants to the ground, frost destroying entire vineyards for a few hours, and birds picking the grapes from the vineyards in which ribbons were placed on vineyards to scare birds away. After the sequence, the narrator then explains the plot of how winemakers use their skills to help with California's vineyards and how it made a great impact in all of California just as the narrator explains that the journey of California's vineyards continue over the years throughout the four seasons.
