Production had intended to create parallels between Kamala's two worlds of Jersey City and Karachi thorugh the set design. A "Greetings from Karachi" sign, designed by the local Thai painters, in reference to Pakistani truck art, was placed, to draw similarities to the Jersey City sign featured within the first episode.[1]
