Seth Woodbury MacFarlane is an American actor, animator, comedian, singer, director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for being the creator of the popular Fox animated sitcom Family Guy, in which he also voiced Peter Griffin and various other characters, and for being the co-creator of American Dad! and The Cleveland Show (while also voicing many of the shows' characters), as well as the creator of The Orville, in which he also portrayed Edward "Ed" Mercer. He also voiced the titular foul-mouthed teddy bear of the Ted films and the television series of the same name (all three of which he also directed), as well as Mike the mouse in the 2016 Universal/Illumination animated musical comedy film Sing.
For Disney, he voiced Jeff McGarland (a parody of himself) in the Phineas and Ferb episode "Nerds of a Feather". He also wrote for the 1996 television series Jungle Cubs, as well as voiced a flea in the Shnookums and Meat episode "Bugging Out!".
In 2020, MacFarlane was inducted into the American Television Hall of Fame, alongside Bob Iger.
