The Shaman is a character from the Disney animated series, Gargoyles.
Background[]
The Shaman is an Aboriginal magic user who lives in the Australian outback. He is shown to provide good assistance to those whom he encounters. When the Matrix disaster outbreak occurred all across Australia, he told Goliath and Dingo to find the Dreamtime so that they can be able to stop the Matrix from absorbing the entire world by seeking the source. Together, thanks to the Shaman's advice, Goliath and Dingo were able to stop the Matrix from absorbing everything in its path, impressing the Shaman in the real world.
Role in the series[]
In "Walkabout", Dingo encounters the Shaman who tells him that if he wants to leave his past behind, he must go to the walkabout to find the Dreamtime all around him in a dimension parallel to the real world telling him to do it on his own just as Dingo follows his advice. The Shaman then notices Dingo activating his armor in an attempt to fight against Goliath in combat. Later when the Manhattan Clan (with Goliath, Elisa Maza, Bronx, and Angela) and Dingo approaches the Shaman, he tells discusses with them that they must find the Dreamtime and convince it to stop a disaster from occurring.
Later Anastasia Renard and Fox approach the Manhattan Clan and Dingo talking with the Shaman in a plan to stop the Matrix by putting a cartridge that would fix it, leading Dingo and the Manhattan Clan to stop the Matrix causing a disaster, much to the Shaman telling them, "This is not the way." Just before Dingo plans to stop it, Anastasia Renard warns him that the Matrix is more than a machine as it is an artificial intelligence which the Shaman suggests to seek the Matrix in the Dreamtime. Later as Goliath and Dingo confront the Matrix in Dreamtime, the Shaman happily notices that the Matrix is slowing down, thanks to the two in their Dreamtime mode attempting to stop it. Later after Goliath and Dingo have stopped the Matrix from absorbing everything in its path, the Shaman happily notices that Goliath and Dingo have stopped the Matrix together. He then happily notices the Matrix becoming heroes with Dingo afterwards.
