Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal, simply known as Shaq, is an American former basketball player and currently an actor, entertainer, spokesperson, personality, and occasionally a rapper. Shaq started his career playing basketball in high school before getting drafted into the NBA for the Orlando Magic. Throughout his career, he made a name for himself and became a basketball icon playing for the teams Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and finally the Boston Celtics before retiring from basketball. Since then, he has mostly been working as a spokesperson and personality; appearing on television and talk shows for the masses.
In between playing basketball and talk shows, Shaq also became an actor. While his acting ability had been maligned throughout most of his career, the criticism did not stop him from this path. He would usually appear as himself in projects, such as Martin, MadTV, All That, Histeria!, Johnny Bravo, Uncle Grandpa, Good Burger, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Static Shock, Scary Movie 4, The House Bunny, Jack and Jill, The Lego Movie, and What Men Want. However, he has also played characters in projects, like Blue Chips, Steel, Chairman of the Board, The Wash, Southland, Grown Ups 2, The Smurfs 2, Blended, Show Dogs, Uncle Drew, and Hubie Halloween.
For Disney, he appeared as himself in Sonny with a Chance. He also played Kazaam in the movie of the same name and voiced 90's Adventure Bear in Season one of Pickle and Peanut. Additionally, he appeared as himself in Fresh Off the Boat and the Touchstone Pictures films: When in Rome and He Got Game. He was spoofed by Genie in Aladdin and the King of Thieves.
