Louis Burton (Bert) Lindley, Jr., better know by his stage name, Slim Pickens, was an American Rodeo performer and film and TV actor who was famous for Dr. Strangelove as Major T. J. King Kong and Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles as Taggart. He is famous for his tough cowboy impersonation.

He also appeared in several Disney movies: The Great Locomotive Chase as Pete Bracken, Tonka as Ace, Never a Dull Moment as Cowboy Schaffer, The Apple Dumpling Gang as Frank Stillwell, and famously The Black Hole as the voice of Old B.O.B.. He even played Old Bill Williams in Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color and the 20th Century Fox Television unsold Western drama series pilot Jake's Way.
