"Snow Bear" is a 1970 telefilm produced by Walt Disney Productions. It was originally broadcast on NBC as a two-part episode on The Wonderful World of Disney on November 1, and November 8, 1970. It was later edited into a Disney educational short film in March 1972 under the title The Track of the Giant Snow Bear. The telefilm was directed by Gunther von Fritsch.
Synopsis[]
A polar bear cub is befriended by Timko, a teenage Eskimo boy, while he is on a year’s self-imposed exile from his community, learning the art of the hunt. An Eskimo boy frees a polar bear cub from a trap and raises it, until it threatens his village.
