Sofia Wilmot (neé Blancheford) is a supporting antagonist in the Disney+ series Renegade Nell. She is a serving governor who is willing to do anything to save her family.
Sofia Wilmot was a member of the Blancheford family. Sitting at a high power but not permitted to freely exercise it, she quietly held her tongue around her dominant father and cruel and childish brother Thomas. When Thomas murders his father and frames Nell Jackson for the crime, Sofia opts to defend her brother, frightened the power he now wields and fear of losing her only family member. She also falls under the influence of Robert Hennessey, Earl of Poynton who helps her unlock an ability within her that she did not know she had. All in an effort to further her own goals and increase her power.
Personality[]
Sofia is a calm and regal woman. While seemingly quiet at first, she shows signs of desperation and fear in her actions, in a frantic effort to maintain some semblance of better living. As she begins to fall under the influence of the Earl, she begins to embrace a darker and more sinister heir, resorting to scheming and plotting. However, she is shown to care deeply for her brother, regardless of his self-destructive tendencies.
