Soleil Moon Frye is an American actress, voice actress, director, and screenwriter. For Disney, she voices Zoey Howzer in the Disney Channel animated series The Proud Family and its 2005 film The Proud Family Movie. She also played Minerva in You Ruined My Life, a guitar player in Zenon: Z3, and appeared in Golden Anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Here's to You, Mickey Mouse.
Frye was born in Glendora, California and was educated at a private school in Los Feliz, and attended San Fernando Valley Professional School in Burbank.
Frye made her acting debut in the 1982 television movie Missing Children: A Mother's Story which to more roles on the small screen. However, her breakthrough came with the title character of the sitcom Punky Brewster and its animated spin-off It's Punky Brewster. She later reprised the role in a 2021 revival of the series, which was cancelled after one season. Her other television credits include CHiPs, Diff'rent Strokes, The Wonder Years, Saved by the Bell, Tiny Toon Adventures, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Friends, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Bratz, and Planet Sheen.
