"Sonic Boom Boom" is the first segment of the twenty-ninth episode of Spidey and his Amazing Friends. It premiered on September 16, 2022. along side "Mini Golf Goof" and is the first segment of the fourth episode of the second season.
Plot[]
Team Spidey heads underwater to stop by Doc Ock from disrupting sea life.
Synopsis[]
Peter and Gwen are at the beach playing frisbee while Miles makes a sand castle. After getting someone to shut down their boombox, the group notices crabs quickly scurrying out of the water, scaring everyone from the beach. At first, Peter thinks the crabs are confused, but realize that they are too scared to go in the water. The team morphs into their spider forms and scoop up the crabs into their web-bags and transport them to an aquarium. There, Isla tells them that other sea creatures were also seen escaping the water. The team decides to go underwater to see what is happening.
After doing some exploring underwater in their Team Transport, the group hears another terrible sound and they track it to Doc Ock's undersea laboratory. After sneaking inside, they find Doc Ock playing extremely loud noises from a small boombox that is scaring away all the sea life. CAL tries to get her to notice them, but she only does after turning off her boombox. She uses her boombox to keep the Spider team away from her before explaining that she wants to use her new boombox to get whatever she wants from everyone in the city. She then escapes. Ghost-Spider suggests using something to cover their ears to protect themselves from noise, so Spin produces earmuffs out of his webs and they prove to be effective.
Doc Ock and CAL land in a nearby four-way intersection and blast their boombox. The people, in desperation, say they will do anything to make Doc Ock stop the noise, but just as she gives her demands, Team Spidey moves in, with their new earmuffs protecting their ears from the noise. They throw webs at her boombox, shutting it down for good. They then web her and CAL up. Next, they head back to the aquarium and get the crabs back into the water with Isla's help. Afterwards, Team Spidey and Isla enjoy a relaxing, quiet evening at the beach.
