South Gumton is an ancient Gummi Bear colony, that appears in the Adventures of the Gummi Bears episode "Day of the Beevilweevils".

South Gumton, located within Fangwood Forest, was once home to a large number of Gummi Bears, specifically a colony of gardeners and experts in horticulture. The colony was abruptly abandoned a little over 500 years ago by the time of the series, when the Gummies had to flee the continent from the jealous humans who would try to steal their secrets. Unlike what happened at Gummi Glen and Ursalia, nobody stayed behind to take care of the place, and it slowly fell into disrepair.
The valley that Fangwood Forest and South Gumton are located in is notable for that it is also home to the Tree Folk, sentient trees that once lived in symbiotic harmony with the bears until the Gummies fled without warning. Not knowing the cause, the trees felt willfully abandoned, and after failed attempts to escape the valley themselves when the water ceased to flow, they grew bitter in their confinement.
Starkly decreased in numbers, the trees eventually meet and try to capture Gusto and Tummi Gummi, who journey to South Gumton in order to find a sapling to save their Gummiberry bushes, which had previously been diminished by an accidentally summoned plague of Beevilweevils. The two bears escape the disgruntled trees, and discover the former colony's dwelling grounds. They find it in ruins, but are able to locate the coveted sapling.
On a rescue mission to save their friends, Artie, Gruffi, Grammi, and Zummi Gummi are enslaved by the trees, until these witness Tummi risking his own life to save the sapling. Touched by the deed, the trees begin trusting the bears, and allow them to restore the water flow, flourishing once again. Gruffi vows to return regularly to ensure the trees' well being, and the parties part ways amicably.

- A few of the South Gumton Gummies depicted in the Tree Folks' flashback had previously been featured in the season 1 finale episode "Light Makes Right", which shows them fleeing the continent by boat, headed for New Gumbria.
