Stacy

Stacy is a secondary antagonist who appears in the 2022 Disney+ original film Sneakerella. He is the son of Trey. He is Zelly’s brother and one of El’s stepbrother. He is the male counterpart of Anastasia Tremaine.

Background[]

Stacy is one of El's mean-spirited stepbrothers, who lives with his brother, Zelly with his father being Trey often showing a jealous personality to him. He is shown to wear a pair of eyeglasses frequently, unlike his brother Zelly. He is also shown to cause mischief alongside his brother, often keeping El's talents of being a sneaker designer a secret, causing him to get in trouble. However, El was able to correct his bad reputation during Sneakercon, which Stacy and Zelly react in shock after he was declared a sneaker designer.

Role in the film[]

Stacy is first seen on his laptop, where he fully booked a future venture capitalist meeting while his brother Zelly is doing judo practice while El's stepfather, Trey tasks him to avoid getting distracted at work. Later when El returns after his first encounter with Kira King, Stacy approaches his father who is furious with his stepson for not being present at work at all where he tells his brother Zelly if he is the one that locked up and left without telling anyone, which he replies to Stacy that it was El just before their father grounds his stepson. With El grounded, Stacy approaches El, telling him that if he disagreed to stay out of each other's way to make his life miserable, which El replies to him that he shouldn't shove his shift on him, which Stacy questions him of why he is always complaining, which El denies about the place where he lives being a dump.

After El designed sneakers in Laces, he approaches Stacy and Zelly and serves them toast and as he talks to them, they tell him that their father is discussing with a Foot Locker rep in a plan to convert Laces into a Foot Locker store just before El disguises himself as a waiter. Just before El leaves, he explains to his stepbrothers that he has someone very important to meet, which they force El to go back to work in the stockroom, locking him in the inventory. When El tries to find another exit via goods entrance, his stepbrothers also prevent him from leaving, locking the metal door, leaving him no other way to escape. However, Gustavo manages to rescue him thanks to the magic used on his sneaker design.

Tracy later notices El and Sami helping Kira find the right designer as he plans to tell his brother about this, just as he feels jealous of El as he and his brother sing the musical number "Shut It Down" in a plan to make El's life miserable in a plan to close down El's shoe store. Stacy and Zelly's mischievousness gave a negative impact to El. The following day, El sees his stepbrothers loading the truck, just as he tells her that he is going to Sneakercon in a plan for him to clear out his bad reputation with Kira. Sami encounters El's stepbrothers and interacts with the stuff being loaded onto the truck, much to their worry. Just before Stacy continues packing, he sees El on a television via Mrs. Singh's restaurant, just as he tells Zelly that El is on his way to Sneakercon at King6. As they board their truck, El's stepbrothers see their father who is worried that El is not present at work just before they leave.

Tracy and his brother, Zelly arrive at Sneakercon, trying to tell the audience that El is lying to them, only to be shooed out by their father, Trey, just before Darius faces him and tells Trey about the mix-up between his stepsons and El. After Trey and his stepson reconcile, Stacy and Zelly back away.
