Star Studios

Star Studios (formerly known as Fox Star Studios prior to 2022) is an Indian motion picture production and distribution company. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Disney Star, part of the Disney International Operations segment of The Walt Disney Company. The studio produces Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and other South Asian language films through acquisitions, co-productions and in-house productions for worldwide distribution.

History[]

On March 20, 2019, the company was acquired, along with most of 21st Century Fox's assets. On May 27, 2022, two years after being renamed respectively to 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures, the studio was renamed to Star Studios.^[1]
