Steven Robert "Steve" Guttenberg is an American actor, author, businessman, comedian, producer, director, and screenwriter. He is known for his starring roles in Hollywood films of the 1980s and 1990s, including Jack Bonner in the 1985 film Cocoon and its 1988 sequel, Cadet Carey Mahoney in the Police Academy franchise, Eddie Simmons in Diner, Terry Lambert in The Bedroom Window, Newton Crosby in Short Circuit, and Roger Callaway in It Takes Two.
For Disney, he played Buzzy Crocker in the 1997 Disney made-for-TV supernatural thriller film Tower of Terror. He also played Michael Kellam in the 1987 Touchstone Pictures film Three Men and a Baby and its 1990 sequel and Deputy Sheriff Tom Palmer in The Big Green.
