Steven Alan Spielberg, KBE is an American filmmaker. He is well known for founding the company Amblin Entertainment which includes Jaws, the Indiana Jones franchise, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Schindler's ListJurassic Park, Ready Player One, and the Warner Bros. animated series Tiny Toon Adventures. He also co-founded the studio DreamWorks (along with Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen).

Spielberg is probably the director who was influenced by the Walt Disney Company the most, as he served as an executive producer on the 1988 Touchstone Pictures film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He also directed the 2016 film The BFG, which was released on July 1, making it the first Disney movie to be directed by Spielberg. Disney has also owned the Indiana Jones franchise, which Spielberg co-created with George Lucas, since December of 2013. Additionally, he directed the 2015 Touchstone Pictures film Bridge of Spies, and he will direct the 2020 remake of West Side Story.

He also pointed out that John Williams' theme of the movie Jaws (which Spielberg directed) was based on the theme of Man from Bambi, as was the main score for Close Encounters of the Third Kind, modeled after "When You Wish Upon a Star" from Pinocchio.

He was mentioned in the Lizzie McGuire episode "When Moms Attack", the Hannah Montana episode "Wherever I Go". He is also mentioned in the A.N.T. Farm episode "feature presANTation"
