"Straight to Hell" is the ninth episode of Marvel's Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again and the season one finale. It premiered on April 15, 2025.
Synopsis[]
Mayor Fisk has become Mayor Kingpin, and Daredevil is unleashed as chaos takes over the city.
Plot[]
A year earlier, Vanessa visits Dex and asks him to kill Nelson in exchange for his freedom. In the present, Dex escapes the ball while Murdock is hospitalized. Fisk reveals to Vanessa that he knows she orchestrated Nelson's death. Fisk orders Cashman to kill Murdock and cuts off the power to New York City. Cashman attempts to kill Murdock at the hospital, but Murdock escapes to his apartment, where he finds Castle waiting for him. The AVTF arrives at the apartment, where Murdock and Castle incapacitate and kill all except North. The pair learn that North killed Ayala, but Murdock resists killing him. Fleeing the apartment, the pair are met by Page, who returned after learning Dex escaped and asked Castle to protect Murdock. Chaos breaks out in the city, perpetuated by the AVTF. Murdock and Page reconnect while they track down Nelson's Red Hook case, discovering that the Fisks are trying to establish a city-state. Castle fights the AVTF in Red Hook but is defeated; Powell tries to get him to join them, but Castle rejects him. Gallo attempts to betray Fisk, but is exposed and murdered by Fisk. Fisk offers Glenn the position of Mental Health Commissioner, which she accepts. In a speech, Fisk declares martial law and outlaws vigilantism. Murdock decides to assemble an army to save the city. Fisk imprisons vigilantes in Red Hook, including Duquesne and Castle. In a post-credits scene, Castle tricks a prison guard and begins to break free.
