"Stranger Danger" is the second segment of the forty-first episode of Star vs. the Forces of Evil. It premiered on November 7, 2017 alongside "Club Snubbed", and is the second segment of the sixth episode in the third season.

Synopsis

Star meets the ancient Queen Eclipsa.

Plot

Star is tending to a mindless Glossaryck who has the mental capacity of a baby and a dog and can only say "Globgor!" over and over again. As she tries to take him out for a walk, he gets distracted by a squirrelicorn and escapes into the garden. He suddenly runs into a mysterious woman who manages to calm him down. Star befriends the woman who happily tells her about the garden and how it is her favorite part of the castle. As they share a moment, Queen Moon and the Magic High Commission come bursting into the garden and pin the woman. Moon checks for Star's safety who is confused over the situation before they reveal that the woman is the traitorous Queen Eclipsa.

Star is taken by the Commission and run through various tests to see if she has any "evil" in her. Star gets annoyed as she sees Eclipsa as only a gentle woman and not a sinister person like everyone says she is. The Commission try to get an admission from her, but she angrily rebuffs them. Moon and the Commission try to tell her that Eclipsa is manipulative, but Star points out that the only thing she seems guilty of was falling in love with a monster as she never technically got the chance to do anything evil. Moon tells her that she has no other choice, but to recrystallize her, much to Star's shock.

Star manages to escape her room and has Glossaryck fetch her wand so that she can chase them down. She arrives just in time to prevent Rhombulus from freezing Eclipsa again. Star once again points out that Eclipsa did not taint Moon, but that she herself chose to learn dark magic from her. After arguing, she convince her to at least hold a trial and they all agree. Star has Eclipsa move to the rose tower, which actually used to be her own room. She tells her that even though she saved her from being crystallized, she still does not trust her, which she understands. The two then look out to admire the view of the garden.
