Stuber is a 2019 US buddy action comedy film directed by Michael Dowse, and written by Tripper Clancy.

Plot

When a mild-mannered driver named Stu picks up a passenger who turns out to be a cop hot on the trail of a brutal killer, Stu is thrust into a harrowing ordeal in which he desperately tries to hold onto his wits, his life and his five-star rating.

Stuber is released on August 9, 2019 by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Before its releasing, it had world premiere at South by Southwest on March 13, 2019 by 20th Century Fox, then the distribution role has taken by Disney after Disney purchase Fox on March 20, 2019.

Reception

On Rotten Tomatoes, it gets 42% Tomatometer and 79% Audience Score. The site's critical consensus reads, "Though it makes a strong case for future collaborations between Kumail Nanjiani and Dave Bautista, Stuber fails to mesh its contrasting genres, settling for an overtly violent, mildly entertaining diversion that's far from a five-star ride."

On IMDB, the film gets average rating 6.1/10.0, and on CinemaScore, it gets grade B.
