"Summer of El Chu-PAW-Cabra" is the second segment of the tenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Primos.
Synopsis[]
Tater tries to track down the town's missing dogs.
Plot[]
Tater introduces Bud to the dog she found in "Summer of La Naturaleza", whom she now calls Chuchi, a name picked out by Bibi. Tater begs to adopt Chuchi, but Bud warns her that Chuchi is an outside dog and not an indoor dog and that if she wants to keep her, she would need to train her. Tater tries to convince Chuchi to slip into a collar, but she is not receptive to it. After getting dragged around, Nachito suggests that she use doggy treats to get her attention. This seems to work at first, but Chuchi once again becomes disobedient and begins playing with and follows a "dog acquaintance", but to Tater's shock.
Tater runs into Buela who warns her that she needs to keep Chuchi close due to the appearance of El Chupacabra, a monstrous creature that feeds on small animals like dogs. Concerned, though disbelieving of such a thing, Tater and Buela go searching for Chuchi before they stop by Quakey's. They discover that Lita has been tossing meatballs out due to them not being cooked well enough, but admits that the dogs that hang around the area are missing. Buela stays with Lita while Tater encounters LotLot who also believes that Chupacabra is responsible. Tater dresses up as a dog and has Bud drive her to the Crevasse, the supposed home of the Chupacabra.
Tater looks down the Crevasse and discovers that Hector is there with his paletas stand and the missing dogs including Chuchi. Hector was chased down onto a ledge with the dogs stuck there too. Tater has Bud lower her down where she finally convinces Chuchi to get into her harness. They pull everyone up and Tater comes to the realization that while she loves Chuchi and considers her a member of the family that she will allow her to remain an outdoor dog until she feels ready to stay with her. As everyone heads home, some of the paletas are revealed to have reached the bottom where the actual Chupacabra remains and begins eating the frozen treat.
