"Summer of Herramientas" is the first segment of the fourth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Primos.
Synopsis[]
Tater tries to connect with Bud by finding him the perfect gift for Father's Day.
Plot[]
It is Father's Day and the primos are all giving their respective father's gifts for the day. When it comes to Tater, Nellie, and Baby Bud, they give their father, also named Bud, a gift card to the hardware store. Bud appears only mildly happy with the gift and decides to go to the hardware store to use it. Tater recognizes that he clearly wasn't impressed with it and together with Baby Bud agree to get him a better gift. Nellie in the meantime decides to go "tio watching". While all this is happening, Bibi is spending time with her father, Pop, by being his workout buddy and struggling to do all the different kinds of exercise.
Tater and Baby Bud sneak into their parent's room and learn that practically everything Bud thinks about is tools. Tater decides to come up with a dad joke that will make him laugh. When he comes back to fix their fence, Tater attempts to start the "Is your refrigerator running?" joke, but Bud thinks she is being serious and runs back to the store. When he comes back, Tater and Baby Bud initiate a game of catch, but the ball flies off and breaks a window, forcing Bud back to the store. After a chat with Bibi about her father, Tater angrily comments that if her dad loves them so much he rarely shows it. Bud overhears this and goes back to the store with Tater and Baby Bud in pursuit.
When the kids get to the hardware store, they are shocked to find everyone there looks like Bud with different variations. Bud arrives and Tater comes to the conclusion that the store is his safe area. Bud comes clean to everyone there that even though he knows how to fix things, he does not know how to show his appreciation to his kids. Tater and Baby Bud reveal themselves and Bud realizes that they have been trying to give him a good Father's Day gift. They make up and head home where Tater agrees to work with dad on some home projects. Nellie arrives, wearing a fake mustache, and initiates a game of catch between the three of them.
